Our Project

The mission of the JHP is to pioneer jazz into new territories, and bridge the gap between musical generations. We firmly believe that jazz is for everyone, they may just not know it yet! Jazz is America’s greatest contribution to music, and we want everyone to know.

Old Tunes, New Life

In addition to original tunes, the JHP plays a wide variety of Jazz Standards. Make no mistake, you are not listening to the same worn out versions of your favorite tunes. The JHP makes a point of breathing new life into every standard they play. In the spirit of jazz, intros and endings are often improvised, ensuring a truly unique performance.

Fluid, Flexible, Formidable

The JHP is fluidly formed. Instrumentation and ensemble size are frequently changed to maximize the jazz experience of any given performance. The JHP has performed in a variety of settings including: duo, drummless, quartet, chorldless, trio, and even dualing saxophones!
